Why We Built This Site
Florida keeps most jail and inmate information open to the public, but the hard part is knowing which agency holds the person you are looking for. The Orange County Corrections Department runs the local jail roster for people who are mostly pretrial or serving short county sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for sentenced state prisoners. Federal and immigration detainees turn up in still other systems. We built this site to gather those rosters, locators, contacts, visitation details, and request steps in one place, written in plain language, so a worried family member is not bounced between half a dozen websites.
